The underwater drone for professionals
After capturing the air, the technology now looks down and leads us further below the sea level with the new underwater drone M2 from Chasing.
With their Gladius Mini, a lightweight drone for enthusiasts who were even paying, Chasing introduced themselves as an exciting new company and pioneer in underwater drones. Now it's time for a professional underwater drone (ROV), the new M2.
Chasing M2 is a lightweight underwater ROV / drone designed for professional users and industrial use. The design is great for hull and dock inspections, underwater constructions and rescue searches. The M2 has new features such as more and larger motors, an improved camera, better image quality and the ability to mount laser gauges, robotic arms or other accessories up to 1.5 kg to help you with your work.
Despite its low weight of 4.5 kg, the new M2 features 8 vector control rockets that allow your OMNI to move in all directions. It can move at speeds of up to 3 knots, dive down to 100 m and operate within a 200 m horizontal radius.
The control rockets are equipped with a technology that reduces the risk of the engine getting stuck in the sand. This allows the pilot to operate safely and stably in all types of complicated underwater environments.
The M2 camera is equipped with 4K video, an f / 1.8 aperture and a 1 / 2.3 Sony CMOS in addition to electronics image stabilization, which improves the camera's performance at low light and greatly enhances the dynamic range. The drone is also equipped with two dimmable 2000 LED bulbs.
Another new and exciting feature is the new replaceable battery. The M2 drone is equipped with a 99Wh battery that has a life of 2-4 hours. If you need longer life, there is the option of purchasing a brand new 2000Wh battery that significantly prolongs operating time.
Precisely the feature of attaching external equipment that improves the drone's capabilities is an option that many professionals have longed for. The M2 drone is now compatible with sophisticated tools such as robotic arms, GoPro cameras, external LED lights and laser meters, etc. The maximum weight of the attached equipment is 1.5 kg and meets many of the industry requirements.
